Abstract

In today’s competitive marketplace, the quality of a product is becoming increasingly more important. The informed customer not only weighs the ability of the product to meet his/her requirements, and the purchase price of the product, but also the money that must be expended to maintain the function of the product. Hence, lowering the life-cycle cost of a product will increase its value and attractiveness to the customer.
