Electrospinning was firstly employed in this paper to prepare oriented polyethylene oxide (PEO) nanofibers and bundles, in which two pieces of triangle-shaped electrically conductive substrates whose tips are opposite to each other are introduced as Oriented Collection Electrodes (OCEs) so as to change electric field in the conventional electrospinning. When the auxiliary voltages of 0V, 50V, 100V and 150V were applied to the OCEs, the experiment results show that the charged nanofibers near the tips were stretched and collected to be a bundle which bridges the two tips, and the nanofibers deposited along the edge of collection electrodes were parallel and perpendicular to the edge of collection electrodes because of electrostatic interactions.
