Explosive welding is momentarily joint processing between a metal plate and other metal plate using impact energy generated by explosive detonating. Recently, from the specificity and economical efficiency of the joining method, it is used as one of the solid state joining technique. Explosive welding method has following advantages, no heat influence, instantaneous jointing process, and high joining strength. In this research, jointing between cupper pipe and threading stainless steel pipe was tried using explosive welding. Fabrication of a composite material with high intensity and sufficient conductivity is expected by joining copper pipe and stainless steel pipe. The junction section of the obtained sample was observed with the optical microscope, and good junction had been attained. Moreover, organization evaluation of the junction section was performed by EPMA analysis.
